I have a colour crush! Colour is so powerful and can change a mood of a room. This collage was so much fun to create. Within the colour you can find some shapes, mark-making and gestural movement. Creating this original mixed media collage it was fun to tear up several abstract works on paper and piece them together to create a heavily textured finished piece. Created on a wood panel the first step was to create a colourful abstract design on paper. Once that step was completed I took white watercolour paper and that beautiful finished abstract and ripped it up to create this playful design. The entire surface of the wood panel is covered in paper. The colourful parts are my abstract work. Materials used: watercolour paper, mixed media papers, acrylic paints, inks, pencil, drywall tape, wood panel, matte medium, Mod Podge, wire for the back and sealant All my original works will arrive to you signed, dated, sealed and ready to hang for a lifetime of enjoyment.
The drywall tape stretches across this collage symbolic of a bridge, as the papers are torn, overlapped representing our connectivity as human beings. “Like a bridge over troubled waters, I will ease your mind. Art has a way of stirring up emotions and I hope this piece provides comfort as your eyes rest on each layer. This mixed media abstract collage has been created using my hand-painted papers torn up and reassembled. Materials used: watercolour paper, mixed media papers, acrylic paints, inks, pencil, drywall tape, wood panel, matte medium, Mod Podge, wire for the back, and sealant My original mixed media collage will arrive to you signed, dated, sealed, and ready to hang for a lifetime of enjoyment. Also enclosed will be a Certificate Of Authenticity.
I love brightly coloured flowers and I love painting flowers. This garden of poppies blowing in the wind was created as I dream of the poppies that will bloom this spring in my garden. I love how their petals are so delicate and paper-like. The flowers in this collage were painted first and then torn up to be added to this piece along with some green abstracts created to add to the stems and the leaves and torn bits from other abstracts I’ve created. Who doesn’t love flowers? And, these won’t make you sneeze! I just love an English garden filled with all different flowers. To me, there is nothing more beautiful. Loretta Kaltenhauser's 'Bridging the Gap' encapsulates the essence of modern abstract with its robust texture and a symphony of colors. It serves as an imaginative conduit between spaces, thoughts, and emotions with its large-scale presence. The intermingling shades of blue, grey, red, and amber create a vivid landscape that can transform any interior, infusing it with energy and a touch of the sublime.
Strong, vibrant colors and shapes blend perfectly to make this artwork a bold statement for any space in your home or office. The sides of the canvas are painted black and 1.5 inches in depth, so no framing is required for display purposes. My personal, signature stamp is on the back.
