DAY LILY

hand painted silk scarf on 10 mm silk twill. It's a heavier weight of silk with a beautiful drape. Use of wax as the resist, then once finished, wax is removed and the piece is steamed to set the dye. Cold water wash and press when damp. Silk is cool in the summer but also is warm in the winter.
