There’s a little forest area tucked away, close to where I live. I call it the secret forest. It’s a mysterious woods, high up on a hill. I enjoy going there and exploring the tall maples, oaks, poplars, ashes and elms. Everywhere I look in this lovely forest, I see lush green plants thriving on the ground. The squirrels chatter away as they jump from branch to branch, then dart up the huge tree trunks. At the far end of this beautiful wooded hideaway, there’s a small valley. A little river runs through it, and the water trickles over the rocks nearby. The sound puts me in a contemplative and slightly meditative state. I’m always at peace in this enchanted secret forest.
