The AIC Art Gallery presents the watercolour and pastel floral work by Jocelyn Bichard in her first solo show with the gallery. These works are all available online, so feel free to reach out for those works of interest. Here is a recent interview with Jocelyn on Canadian Art Today.

Interview

A collection of Watercolor and Pastel works created by the artist to portray the beauty she sees in the world around her. Nature is her passion so as well as Landscapes there are florals and creatures. Hope you enjoy viewing them as much as she did creating them. Most of the works are done from Jocelyn's photos or done with permission of the photographer.

This painting was done from a beautiful bouquet of flowers my son bought me at the Local Kingston Farmers Market. Bouquets sold by Savage Gardens . This I dedicate to the memory of Mrs Savage who passed away this past year . — Beauty’s bouquet

These are some of my favourite flowers but unfortunately the white tailed deer that roam our rural landscape love them too . They will trample down fences to have a snack on this sweet pretty delight . — Nasturtiums

These irises grow in my garden in the summer . I love their various shades of purple with their contrasting yellow . — Bearded Irisis

Ginger is grown in tropical countries like the Caribbean Islands , Mexico and Hawaii . I love these bright red ones but I have also seen them in pink and rarely white — Ginger

A beautiful monarch butterfly has come to visit my cone flowers to spread their pollen — Alight

This mixed media sunflowers shows the variety of shades the come in now not just yellow . Sunflowers are a happy flower that can put a smile in n your face . This painting is done with a variety on textures and materials as well as Color variety . — Variety

Red ginger and a bird of paradise make a beautiful tropical bouquet . This is fresh m my own photo of an anniversary gift from my husband . I loved be all flowers but these are my favourites! — Tropical bouquet

This is another tropical flower . There are many varieties grown in Madeira Portugal where I had bought some seeds a few years ago but was never able to get them to germinate . They have a lovely texture and like a lot of tropical plants survive cut for a couple of weeks or more — King Protea

Driving my past a garden in Hampton I saw a hummingbird bird enjoying nectar among these beautiful blue delphiniums . I pulled my car over and photographed him and these tall beauties! — Blue Delphiniums

Love the way the he look guy filters through this hibiscus making the petals almost look transparent . It is a ale with the morning light. — Backlight hibiscus

This beautiful monarch was visiting my Herbert’s , ageratum and hosts by my front doorstep . I thought it would make a nice composition. — Front Garden

Wild roses grow all over the Fundy area along the coast and about inland . They give off a wonderful fragarance and are enjoyed by all as long as you look and don’t touch their sharp thrones ! Bees love them! — Wild roses

Pink Asian lilies along with coneflowers and snap dragons make a beautiful arrangement that will last forever on your wall ! — Pretty in Pink
