Jessica Kenney is an interdisciplinary artist living on Wolastoqiyik territory otherwise known as Fredericton NB. Their art practice ranges from animation, illustration, needle felting, photo manipulation, to even costume design. Jessica believes that art is our chance to tell our stories and reach out into the world. They studied animation at the Center for Arts and Technology and the Fredericton Game and Animation Institute. They have been doing freelance work in graphic design and art tutoring for over 10 years. Jessica is a member of Artslink and the NB Disability Arts Collective. Currently working in collaboration on a fabric painting that will be presented at the Fredericton Charlotte Street Arts Center in the fall. The neurodivergent artist has been featured on CHSR Radio, the Garrison Night Market and Global Game Jam. Recently, Jessica has been selected as a mentor for the Bluenose Ability Festival in Halifax and will be presenting their work at the Quiet Parade at Halifax’s Nocturn Festival this Fall.
