Artist Statement:
“From imprisonment to liberation;
A story about an individual’s emotional healing process and his quest to rekindle his relationship with Nature and Life as a whole. It is also a parallel with our society’s environment impacts and it’s responsibility towards it.”
Short Bio:
Serge V. Richard is a multidisciplinary visual artist who graduated in graphic arts from Holland College in Charlottetown and then pursued his art studies at the Université de Moncton.
Beginning his career as a graphic designer and illustrator Serge also worked in the film and feature film industry, and at Fredericton's Theater New Brunswick, as an accesorist and scenographer, and then added manufacturing services Mascots and creations of murals.
Serge V. Richard shares his knowledge of drawing, painting and airbrush through art courses. In addition, he exhibits his work in various New Brunswick art galleries.
He is a member of the New Brunswick Association of Professional Artists (AAAPNB), CARFAC and CARCC

“De l’emprisonnement à la libération…
Une histoire humaine sur le processus de guérison émotionnelle d’un individu et sur sa quête pour renouer sa relation avec la Nature et la Vie dans son ensemble.
C’est aussi un parallèle avec les impacts de notre société sur l’environnement et sa responsabilité envers celui-ci”.
Bio:
Originaire de St-Louis-de-Kent, Serge V. Richard artiste visuel multidisciplinaire est diplômé en art graphiques du Collège Holland à Charlottetown et il a ensuite poursuivi ses études en art à l’Université de Moncton.
Débutant ainsi sa carrière en tant que graphiste et illustrateur Serge a aussi travaillé dans l’industrie du film-long métrage, et au ‘Theatre New Brunswick’ de Frédericton, en tend qu’accessoiriste et scénographe, pour ensuite ajouter des services de fabrication de mascottes et de créations de murales.
Serge V. Richard partage ses connaissances en dessin, peinture et aérographe à travers des cours d’arts. En plus, il expose ses œuvres dans différentes galeries d’art du Nouveau-Brunswick.
Il est membre de l’Association des artistes professionnelles du Nouveau-Brunswick (AAAPNB), CARFAC (Le Front des artistes Canadiens) et CARCC (Société des droits d’auteurs du Front des artistes canadiens Inc.)
Sa démarche artistique actuelle se démontre de plus prés dans; la ligne est ses différentes qualités de vitesse, force, souplesse et détails; le mouvement corporal transmis sur le support et se dialogue entre l’artiste et l’œuvre, cette entretient intuitif et spontané.
"Mes œuvres sont souvent créées à partir d’écoute et d’expériences personnelles avec reflets et parallèles à l’humanité. Mes principales sources d’inspiration sont les mystères des mondes naturels et psychiques.
Les quinze premières années de ma carrière sont marquées par des œuvres figuratives en peintures acryliques et dessins grand format. "
