Colliding geometrics made at Gehry’s MIT building. Natural and architectural images in abstract expressionism.
My photographic work is abstract, impressionistic as well as representational. I take inspiration from nature, the built environment and everyday subjects. I love working with reflective surfaces from water and buildings.
My current body of work is from a shoot in November, 2024 of the Frank Gehry's MIT Stata Center in Cambridge Massachusetts. This work shows the possibilities of making abstract imagery from the reflected environment on a quirky-shaped building. I have long been a fan of Gehry's artistic buildings. In 2018 I photographed his Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain, and the Lou Ruvo Center in Las Vegas.
I enjoy the printing process of my images on high-quality art paper, so that I have full control of the final product for my limited edition prints.
I am a 2005 graduate of the University of Guelp's Studio Arts program following a 28 Year career as a social worker and manager with the Ontario Public Service. I have shown my art in local venues such as the Guelph Studio Tours, Art on the Street, the Elora Insights Shows, Gallery fundraiser auctions, Langdon Hall galleries, and solo shows at the Kloepher Gallery and Red Brick Cafe in Guelph.
