Strength and Fraility is a solo exhibition and sale held at the Sunshine Coast Arts Center. Continuing until August 18 2024. This exhibition explores the fragility found in nature specifically represented by the nests of birds, captured in charcoal and cold wax. Nests are built to house the most precious and fragile objects, their eggs. There is nothing more fragile than new life and time is short for the birth to happen and the survival of their young for the species to continue. Some nests are extreme in the lack of materials used. Possibly a few strands of grass or sticks that defy the very word of protection for the egg laid.
