The heart of Canadian culture, Canadian indigenous art is varied from the Haida of the west coast to the Inuit of the North. These indigenous artists work in traditional and contemporary art forms such as soapstone, woodcarving, mask making, weaving, leather and painting.
I apply traditional Mi’Kmaq weaving skills to weave new children’s furniture, reweave heirloom antiques and teach the occasional weaving class. Contact me for all your weaving needs!
Tree Spirit, Mask, talking Sticks, Portraits, are some of the Carvings I do. Most are larger tree carvings of any sort
Self taught Indigenous painter inspired by spirit of my ancestors. My art focuses on being mindful of time and space where shadows are non-existent, discovering where I'm from and where I may be going.
