Art creation is not only a discovery by the artist about themself but also about the viewers experiencing the familiar or vaguely reminiscent fragments of memory. Join us on May 1st (6PM PST -7PM CST - 9PM EST) via our Zoom opening as we discuss Tatianna's evocative works. Join from the link below the main image on our home page. We will send you a link before the show viewing and artist talk.
Tatianna wants the viewer to recognize and reflect on their own experiences from the past, from where they have been and what they have seen and not seen; what is remembered and what is forgotten. She says, “ Sometimes it’s like we are in a capsule speeding through space and time, and these paintings are a film clip of a moment in our lives.” Expressions like, “where has the time gone”, express an element of loss. Do we remember all those moments frozen in time in a memory we cannot access?
Tatianna’s paintings have always been about line, shape and texture. She now introduces space …the transitional space in between where we have been and where we are going, the space between time, stillness and motion.
