Artisan, Painting, Portrait, Figure
My painting adventure started many years ago when I needed a birthday present for my sister. I come from an amazingly talented family who have always been able to paint and draw naturally. I had never tried painting before, (A bad pencil crayon incident turned me away from art at an early age) so I really didn't know how my sisters gift attempt would turn out. I took a deep breath and away I went. When I was finished her painting, I was amazed. I couldn't believe how much I LOVED the entire experience and what I had created! IT WAS SO FREEING! I FELT ALIVE!! I couldn't believe that I had made the painting! GIFT FAIL ... I decided to keep it ( lol ) because I loved it too much. So I went back to the store to buy more supplies as my sister still needed a present. Again, away I went and created another painting. I had the same feeling of WOW! GIFT FAIL #2 ( lol ) I didn't want to part with that one either. This process continued until I had about 10 paintings in my living room. I told myself "ok, lady. You have to pick one for her" I just couldn't do it. As tempting as it was to give in and buy her socks, I did eventually pick out a small one for her gift. That was my first real taste for the love of painting. I carried on with my art and have been rewarded for it. My painting has allowed me to meet the love of my life (who is also an artist) and make many new friends and beautiful fans. I appreciate the fact that my art grows everyday as do I . NEVER let yourself give up. Always go after what you want. Life's road can be tough, but being honest, loyal and driven will always pay off in the end folks. I am looking forward to more painting, launching my clothing line and making many more new friends and fans in the future. HUGS SANDY :)
