Textiles, Landscape, Fibre
Born and raised in Guelph, Ontario, art has always been a huge part of my life. Coming from a family of creative people I was always spending time experimenting with different ways to make art.
Using inspiration from neighbourhood gardens and favourite outdoor areas, I create vibrant nature themed pieces.
When creating my larger pieces, I enjoy restoring, repurposing and framing my creations with antique window frames that I collect from different places in Ontario. I do my best to maintain as much of the original window’s integrity while replacing the existing glass with premium anti-reflective AR70 art glass, making it scratch resistant and easy to clean.
I create in my home alongside my two tuxedo cats and many lattes. I am a high school teacher who enjoys sharing the passion of creating with my students and am continually inspired by them.
My artistic goal is to create a style of artwork full of colour, texture and movement that can add life to any room. I believe a handcrafted piece of art can transform any space into feeling more inviting and special because it brings a high level of craftsmanship and most importantly, a story.
