Diane Morgan

My artwork is contemporary realism in the old tradition. I try to portray a concept or story with my settings or themes by utilizing traditional methods with sometimes contemporary or antique subject matter. I paint with a passion for the creative process and enjoy the indirect method of the old masters. My objective for the audience is, for them to enjoy the story/theme in the painting and find their own connection to it. I am inspired by the people around me, the places I have travelled to and the objects in my environment. I enjoy the different challenges that arise with each composition. I wish to be continually inspired by the masters of yesterday and those of today!
