Textiles, Landscape, Fibre Art, Quilting, Recycled, Fibre
About twenty years ago, I discovered my right brain, and began to experiment with fabric, fibre, embroidery floss, paint and dye. I delight in the look and feel of fabric layers; rough-edged applique, free-form machine and/or hand-stitching and beading. Recently, I’ve discovered water-color on canvas, combined with quilting, needle-felting and combining paper with fabric, bringing new textures to the way I interpret the world around me in textiles – still inspired by my rural Alberta hamlet, the rolling prairie and the wide Alberta sky.
