Jeanne Hart was born in Huntingdon, (Quebec), Canada, in 1956. She developed a natural talent for drawing and colour values and harmonies. Her very first artwork was selected and exhibited locally. Then, Jeanne enrolled in the Canadian Armed Forces and spent the next twenty years as a police officer on several bases in Canada and in Europe. Upon her retirement in 1994, Jeanne registered into Clarence Bourgoin’s drawing classes and workshops. She went on to participate into symposiums and to exhibit at several galleries. She was awarded two special prizes: “Public first prize” and “Professional first prize”.
In 2005, Jeanne registered at the Academy of Fine Arts in Varennes, Quebec, under the directorship of Sam Aberg and Pierrette Lacas. She mastered the esthetical and rhetorical composition in classical and modern arts, the art history with iconographical and philosophical notions, the critical examination of artworks in many art movements and she studied live modelling as well. Jeanne has since been applying her knowledge by composing series of artworks on different themes which she now exhibit at symposiums.
