In representational photography, the subject being photographed is the object of interest. In minimalist photography, the image itself is the object of interest. These images often have a highly graphic quality, with an emphasis on geometric forms and contrast. The object or scene being photographed is sometimes presented in a way that renders it unrecognizable.
Through minimalism, I try to encourage people to notice the patterns, shapes and colours that surround them, and thus enrich their lives through a new visual awareness.
I have exhibited my work in Canada, the United States and Europe. My works hang in both private and public collections in Canada, the United States, Europe and New Zealand.
