Barbara Mattson

My name is “Barbelo” and in 2020 I started a new path to unveil hidden secrets about myself that allowed me to use the medium of digital art for expression and healing.

I began Barbelo Creations after a very difficult martial separation and mental trauma event that left me with many internal scars. From these scars I decided to water them like seeds and see what flowers transformed. From this time I developed skills using the app called Procreate. I learned all that could always pushing myself harder. I soon found myself capturing my visions and expressing them through the blending of multiple images. Sometimes I would draw the images outright (of which I am still learning and practicing). I would strive to always try to convey what I was feeling in the image or what meaning the image said to me. My faith in myself and in God is what propelled me through this exhausting time of my life and I hope these images bring inspiration and encouragement to you!
