Painting
Born in Metis Beach QC, Turner studied graphic design at Dawson College and studio arts at Concordia where she earned a BFA with distinction.
She now lives in Rigaud where she paints in her studio overlooking the spectacular Ottawa River and Lake of Two Mountains.
Through figurative painting she tries to explore the beauty and mystery of the ephemeral. Sometimes combining the genres of still life and landscape, she focuses on everyday objects out of their usual context. The sense of mystery evoked by this dislocation provides an endless fascination for Turner.
Turner shows regularly in the Montreal and Ottawa area, and has served on the executive committee of the Artistes Hudson Artists and of the Hudson and Region Studio Tour.
