Born in Havre Saint-Pierre, Christian Duguay, self-taught artist for 35 years, is now based in Montreal Area. His experiences as a helicopter pilot in northern Canada, as a graphic artist and as a train conductor in remote regions, had a considerable impact on his art. His skies and wilderness scenes, bathed in light, are vivid examples of these influences. These figurative works, full of serenity, allow him to display a concern for the environment in an imaginary world.
