If I were to describe my objective in art it would have to be the creation of contrast. The juxtaposition of opposites such as light and dark, positive and negative, cold hard stone and warm yielding flesh are all components I consider.
I strive to create realistic pieces in both clay and paper, realizing that perfection in nature is rare. For me, pinching little pots into fruits and vegetables is both meditative and gratifying even when the piece I have in mind takes on a shape... (more)
