Barbara Shore

Hailing from Southwestern Ontario, Canada, contemporary painter, Barbara Shore now resides and operates her studio in St. Albert, Alberta. Barbara has been painting mixed media for over 20 years and has graduated from the University of Alberta with a certificate in Fine Art.

Barbara has always been drawn to figures. Her depiction of the email form captures a fleeting moment, immersing the viewer in a timeless world, to engage their emotions, stimulate memories and build connections.

Abstract painting has become an enhanced form of expression that moves well beyond the traditional brush. This incorporates nontraditional tools and methods in both figurative and abstract creations. For Shore, painting has become an unconscious process of emotional expression.

Barbara has been juried in shows in Alberta and British Columbia. She is a member of local, national, and international art societies. She was recently juried into the International Society of Experimental Artists show “Pushing Boundaries 2020”. Shore won an award in the juried show presented by the International Society of Acrylic Painters 11th Annual International Online Exhibition 2020.
