I am a professional impressionist visual artist,photograper, author & instructor. My favorite themes are mediterranean architecture, florals,fauna,landscapes with watery shimmering reflections,& indigenous and ethnic people in their daily lives and semi abstract still lifes with my latest acrylic skins technique. With a minimum of brush strokes and a limited palette I interpret with feeling my surroundings & invite my viewer to appreciate the natural beauty the world is full of.
Colour is music to my eyes and photography of my travels from my childhood in south America to this day an infinite source of material to be interpreted in oil, watercolor and acrylics according to the feel of the image. I have exhibited internationally in the Florence Biennale of 2003, in Eze Village in 2001, & had 6 solo exhibitions in the historic gallery of the Angela Peralta Theatre in Mazatlan under the auspices of the Institute of Culture & Tourism of the city of Mazatlan, Mexico.
As an active member of the FCA I have participated in the mini artist in residence summer program & currently offer watercolor instruction locally in Surrey & in Mazatlan in the winter months.

I visited this picturesque historic village an hour out of Mazatlan at the very beginning of my art career 28 yrs ago painting the main street entering the village in watercolor. That orig. remains in my collection as I took it to France to exhibit it & won the top medal for it. I finally photographed this beautiful hummingbird at my feeder outside of my glass sliding doors off my family room and substituted a lovely red flower for the feeder.
