Mandy Salter holds a BFA and MFA in Art and Art History along with a certification in Fine Art Appraisals from the International Society of Appraisers and NYU (2001). She is the Director of Salter Appraisals, a fine art appraisal and consulting agency which provides a wealth of experience in dealing with the project management of large and small collections and the valuation requirements of these collections for public and private clients – from multinational corporations to city organizations, museums, and national and local government. Salter also works as a specialist with A.H Wilkens, a full service auction house in Toronto; with Auctionata, a Berlin based online auction portal as their expert in historical and modern Canadian works; and with Sotheby's, Bonhams and Butterfields, and the Institute for Diagnostic Imaging Research. She has worked as the Curator of Contemporary Art and Collections Manager for the Art Gallery of Windsor; associate Curator for the Ydessa Hendeles Art Foundation, Toronto; George Adams Gallery NYC; Bass Museum of Art, Miami Beach; and Galerie Alain Le Gaillard, Paris. Past curatorial research has explored ideas concerning visual art, cultural history and community accessibility.
