Jennifer Crosby is a multi faceted artist based in Toronto, Ontario. Her creative nature has been well established over the past decade. As a self taught visual artist, she began using canvas as a form of therapy and continues to do so to this day. Art was a very silent and private form of expression for her for many years. She became more noticed throughout Toronto after founding the Crowsnest a company that dealt with artist representation and relations for musicians and visuals. Becoming involved then in the local Toronto Arts and Culture scene was the beginning of her art career.
Jennifer has been building, storing yet not showing a wide repertoire of what she claims is “amateur art” although she is constantly expanding over vast ranges of mediums, moods, techniques and themes. This she now proudly contributes to her Bipolar Disorder and personal survival motto that Art & Expression are the healthiest and greatest therapy for the soul. For the last few years making the choice to release her emotions and visually expose her highs and low through her artwork, rather than numbing or be managed by many medications.
Feeling over pharmaceutical, this to be the one and only medicine of choice to live a safer, sober, sometimes very struggling, but a truer to self life. She describes herself as a bipolar person who paints rather than a painter who happens to be bipolar.
