Deirdre Keohane is an Irish Canadian Artist BFA from Crawford College of Art, Cork Special Needs Assistant Higher Diploma in Art Education Masters in Art Education Founder of "the Art School" Castletownbere, Co. Cork 2000 Founder of The Clonakilty Community Art Centre, Clonakilty, Co. Cork 2010 Her work is collected by Mary Black, Declan Sinnott and many other private collectors as well as the OPW Published work include; Vancouver Celtic Connection Newspaper Mary Black's CD, Stories from the Steeples, Book Illustrations Awards including; Cork County Council 2000-2004 Chernobyl Children's Artist in residence 2001 Mayor's Outstanding Citizen's Award.2013 Vancouver DTES Artist awards 2016 In May, 2013, her artwork a ceramic tiger was chosen by the Clonakilty Town Council as a gift for the visiting President of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins.
