10x10 Oil on Cradled Panel
A few years ago I went up North to paint and I honestly don’t know what kind of landscape I was expecting.... I think I thought it would be mainly flat, grey/brown scenes and I was extremely surprised to get off the plane and see all the colour we enjoyed for the following week! The arctic willow as well as the berries ground cover turn a vibrant red, orange and pink in September in Nunavut, I never imagined there would be so much colour up in the Tundra. We were there during the caribou migration and we were lucky enough to see a few. They are very majestic creatures and are quite the sight among all the colour. It was such a special trip and I will forever remember it.
