I wanted to create a sense of the depth and mystery of the oceans.
Water has always been central to my life. Growing up beside a huge lake, sailing locally and offshore, and living beside the ocean created my passion for nature and the environment. This painting raises the question of whether we 'let the currents carry us' or do we take affirmative action to preserve Nature
Spring is an awakening of life and love. Human love, animal love and love that leads to new life. It's also a reminder of how precious life is on this earth and how it must be protected. This painting is part of my 2023 Spring series.
