The heart of Red Deer culture, Red Deer indigenous art is varied from the Haida of the west coast to the Inuit of the North. These indigenous artists work in traditional and contemporary art forms such as soapstone, woodcarving, mask making, weaving, leather and painting.
As a child my mother, in mystical bard like sing song rhythm, enthralled me with the magical properties of misty multi-colored rainbows. A short incantation holding life long inspiration, not in search of the pot of gold but the magic of colour.(more)
I am a Metis Artist who grew up in Yellowknife, NT. I moved to Red Deer 10 years ago and I work in a school for disabled children here in Red Deer and fundraise continually for them by selling my art.
