(Shipping free to Canada) A glimpse of a polar bear, paused in his solitary arctic journey in the cold arctic night. He's definitely thinking about what he has heard in the still of the night. If it's you he's heard......well - that might lead you another in this series "Oh, Oh". The polar bear is one of the world's most beloved animals, and the colour blue is one of the world's favourite colours. Blue represents nature, we see it in water, whether liquid, snow or ice, and the sky. But blue also symbolizes intelligence, confidence, stability, faith, and truth. What better colour to represent the polar bear, the highly intelligent apex predator of the north, one in which the stability of our climate and our facing the truth that we must take action, is so dependant upon. This original oil painting is on wood panel. The sides of the panel are painted black. The back is wired and ready for hanging. It has signed by the artist and has a unique work completion number.
THE BUCK was created with much love and labor. He it totally needle felted with the use of merino silk wool, alpaca wool, assorted wool roving and silk threads. He comes with his own suitcase and is in a shadow box. Cleaning instructions would be feather duster, or blow dryer on low. He must be kept out of direct sunlight as fading could occur.
Hand dyed on 100% silk habotai. The metal rod top and bottom, makes it easy for hanging. there is an interior rod , which can be removed when hand washing the silk is needed. Cold water wash and as with any art piece, do not place in direct sunlight.

While I was on Safari at the Ol Pejete Conservancy in Kenya, we came across a group of elephants near a river with a lot of bushes. I observed an elephant that was relatively close, chewing on leaves and just enjoying himself. I zoomed in quite close of his eye just as he had moved and a glint of light highlighted his bottom lashes. The eye itself is not as obvious and as you follow the highlighted lash up to the eye it leads you to a beautiful surprise, as most people do not know that elephants eyes are a gorgeous orange-amber color.
