Art story: The ancient stones of the Great Northern Shield have seen endless freezing and countless thaws. The stones keep the stories of travellers and bear the scars of an ever-moving wind. The trickle of ancestral waters carries the echoes of ancient incantations. They hold the secrets of birthed babies, bone rattles and ceremonial markings made by nomads who have given their lives and bodies to the land. Bones and stones, water and life become one with the land, just as we all must become one with the land.

I grew up on a farm, and we had horses. To paint a horse comes naturally for me, because of this. But with this painting I wanted to paint with a minimal pallete. It is painted with only 4 colours. A variation of a blue, a red, a yellow and white. I loved how it all turned out and was a lesson for me.
I love putting plants on my window sill. This scene reflects the plants in the window creating a beautiful look. Note the sun shining on the sill and the colour of the pots reflecting on the shaded side!
This was a plant I often saw when visiting Hawaii. It made a great subject for my art. Hawaii has so many interesting tropical plants. This picture is painted on archival paper and is framed professionally.
This is done on archival paper with professional coloured pencils. It also won many ribbons at “The Reflections Art Show”
I I grew up on a farm where we had lots of cattle. Though we didn’t have longhorns, I am intrigued with their beautiful long horns. A magnificent animal!
