In various tribes, red is known to be the only color spirits see. It is hoped that by wearing red, we can call back the missing spirits of our women and children so we can lay them to rest." This colourful and energy infused abstract landscape painted in high quality Winsor Newton oils on high grade gallers canvas suggests the turbulence and volatility seen in stormy skies has now appeared in the land under that sky once the storm has passed.
The focus of this boldy dramatic acrylic on highgrade gallery canvas, is what we commonly see in museums - the remains of a marbled torso /statue from ancient times. It is interesting to note that many of these marble statues during those times had different dyes applied to enhance their colour.
This serene and ethereal painting is essentially a colourfield exploration of the colour blue.
